Aexus was set up in 2000 and as anyone who follows us already knows, the company was founded with a simple, single-minded mission – we’re here to make tech companies successful. Just the fact that we’ve been around for 23 years should give you some indication of how well it’s going. Leaving that aside though, it’s always nice to have your achievements recognised by someone outside your organisation. Not only does it validate your position but also builds trust among your current partners. What’s more, there’s a further commercial aspect to this and that is that other prospects and potential partners can see that you have been awarded and are more open to working with you based on precisely that fact. Further to this, it shows that the blogs, content pieces and marketing materials aren’t just bluff and bluster, they’re actually true. It must be said at this point that you can’t just be awarded by anyone. Those giving the award must have a certain amount of respect and prestige for their opinion to be considered worthwhile. That’s why we were honoured when Het Financieele Dagblad took an interest in us and considered us for an award.
For anyone who doesn’t know, Het Financieele Dagblad is the go to publication for serious financial commentary and great articles on business in the Netherlands. Their heritage actually stretches back as far as 1796, so there’s absolutely no question that they know what they’re talking about and they are respected within the business community for their insights and high calibre journalism. Aside from having the inside track on what’s happening in the Dutch business scene, they are also the founders and hosts of the FD Gazellen Awards, which have been running for 20 years now. These awards are for the companies that are making real waves in the Dutch and the international business markets. With this in mind, we were proud to have been awarded for the second time in two years (2021 and 2022) as, “One of the fastest growing companies in the Netherlands.” To be recognised by such a respected publication is an incredible honour.
This year, the hosts decided to shake things up a bit and for the first time since the inception of the awards, they introduced a new category for – “Dutch companies that are growing the fastest internationally.” The awards ceremony was held on April 6th 2023 and Aexus found themselves on the podium again to collect their latest award. Eric Haeken, who collected the award commented, “Naturally, we are very proud of this honour but are humbled by the size of this accomplishment and the recognition of such a prestigious journal as Het Financieele Dagblad.” Chris Gerretsen, who was unable to attend was quick to praise the team saying, “As always, our thanks must go to our partners and our staff without whom none of this would have been possible.”
